"It mattereth what we give....."

George Albert Smith said...

“Do we realize that every man is in the image of God and is a son of God, and every woman his daughter? No matter where they may be, they are his children, and he loves them and desires their salvation. Surely as members of this Church we cannot sit idly by. We cannot receive the beneficent favor of our Heavenly Father that is bestowed upon us, the knowledge of eternal life, and selfishly retain it, thinking that we may be blessed thereby. It is not what we receive that enriches our lives, it is what we give”

What have I given lately and to whom? Hopefully, I've given my time and shared my thoughts and feeling with those who are most close to me first. My wife, my children, family and friends. Then to the brothers and sisters all around me. In D&C 18:10 we read:

"10 Remember the aworth of bsouls is great in the sight of God;"

I have a previous post on the word "Remember." Here it is again. Remember the worth of you, and those around you. Although we may be as dust compared to our Great God, the value is most high, and most precious. I hope that remembering will stir up action to share what I know to be true - and as I give of my time to others, my life will be enriched with happiness and joy.

Remember what the Lord, Jesus Christ did for all. Here is a great clip from Elder Holland. Easter Message

Time

I was driving home last week and the thought crossed my mind... "Double my age and I am 70." I'm over a 3rd of my live, best case scenario. Life truly is short. We have so much to do in so little of time. I hope I take advantage and use my time doing the best things.
