"When thou risest let thy heart be full of thanks to God"

How is your Monday mornings? I usually struggle as I get out of bed and turn off the alarm. Many times I say to myself, "I'm ready to throw in the towel." That can have a lot of different meanings. I read a popular scripture in the Book of Mormon this morning that made me reflect on this attitude. In Alma 37:37 it says: "Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night, lie down unto the Lord; that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if you do these things, ye shall be lifted up in the last days."

Hmmmmm....... "and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God" Yeah.... I think I need to work on this one.
